What customers say?

“ Been going to this little corner cafe for many years. They are always so friendly and the drinks and quick bites I’ve ordered have always been great. I always stop by any time someone is visiting SF. Love this place. ”

“ A couple of weeks ago, on our way to lands end trailhead, we Stopped for morning coffee and a sandwich. There are many cafe choices nearby but this one seemed peaceful and less crowded. The moment we were inside the cafe. It was this cozy place with old yet charming vibe. Coffee was definitely good and so was the sandwich . We got a Muffin as well as a gift to ourselves, which complemented coffee so well. Besides food, we really enjoyed the interiors and the overall value this place offers for people like us. I could easily sit in one of the corner seats and enjoying my coffee and book. This place also had some great lessons for us; for instance: using waste plastic containers as pots. And NotFeeling bad about!!! The collection of plants was great and it gave such calming sense to us. Service was great too. Order was received and delivered with smile. They also have some collection of books and board games I guess. I would really like to visit sometime later! ”

“ I haven't had such a tasteful breakfast in such long time, this breakfast flavor reminded me of my childhood. I really am coming back! And the place decorations make you feel in peace, a fairytale forest even ”

- Chelsea Guevara -

“ This place has such good vibes that I’ll come all the way from downtown to just hang out and play cards there! It’s totally the type of cafe one could scheme and have super fun conversations. The decor and the food really aid those options. ”

- Vance Johnson -

“ Quirky place on the first floor of a house, with a full kitchen and coffee shop. They make a pretty good oat chai here. ”

- Matt B -

“ Love the atmosphere, great coffee, and inclusive menu! Wifi for patrons and plenty of room to hold private conversations. ”

“ I love this place so much!!! This was my first time coming here and it’s relaxing and such a great place to do homework. Their coffee is really tasty and affordable for SF. I’ll be coming here often :) ”

“ Recuerdo este lugar from decades past and it was a surprise to discover it still tucked away in the outer Haight, with what appears to be the same decor, the same "vibe" it had then... The carryout menu is full, the tuna melt on sourdough uniquely tasty (mixed with grated carrot!), toasty warm, and plenty, el café strong and hot. Different owners (it seems) than then, still caring, still there, holding it together for those of us who braved the cold, gray, wet day looking for nourishment we didn't have to make ourselves. On the way to Ocean Beach, a local route. Thank you, Sacred Grounds, for being. Your breakfast made my special day even and ever more so. ”
